About Me

 I am a 26 year old mum from New Zealand, currently living in Victoria, Australia, while my husband is studying at theological college in order to pursue pastoral minstry. 

I enjoy reading, knitting, baking and watching a good show. 

I am Mama to a toddler who keeps me very busy, and I am definitely learning as I go. 

I created this space as a way to encourage others and also have an outlet for my sporadic desire to write, especially since I am now a stay-at-home mum and no longer have the same outlet as when I was working. I hope anything you read here can be of some encouragement to you!

What My Toddler is Teaching Me: Patience

 It has now been over a year since I last posted here - the biggest change? My little baby is now a toddler. So lately I have been very much immersed in the great yet rewarding challenge that is parenting a toddler. One great blessing of this process is that I find that more often than not, I am also parenting myself. Times & Seasons

Anne Shirley, Anne of Green Gables In this quote, Anne is rejoicing that in (Canadian) October she can see the changing season of Autumn and all of the beauty that it brings. The Seasons are one of my favourite things. They are such a good reminder to us that there is a time and season for everything under heaven (Ecclesiastes 3). God has seasons and time (day and night, hours, weeks, months, years!) - all in order and structure to show his sovereignty. The Eternal Weight of Glory

For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:16-18 Recently, I tested a simple bible study method of note-taking directly off the passage. This usually involves a copy of the passage, either a screenshot that you can write on digitally on an iPad or tablet, or in my case written out into a notebook. Then, you make highlights, underlines, and write notes as you read the passage.
